Non ML Students

At the University of Southampton students can study or work abroad at one of 400 exchange links in 54 countries.

Study and Work Abroad Options

  • Studying in Europe – students studying in Europe come under the ERASMUS programme and can study in one of the partner universities with which their home institution has a connection.
  • Studying outside of Europe – exchanges outside of Europe are open to students of all disciplines as long as it is approved by their exchange coordinator, but places are very competitive. Find partner University opportunities through your faculty or destination of choice.
  • Work placement in Europe – it is possible for students to undertake a work placement as part of their degree.
  • Work placements outside of Europe – work placements outside of Europe tend to take the form of a research project within a University, teaching placement or an internship at an overseas company.
